As 2016 comes to a close, it's interesting to see how the real estate landscape has dramatically changed between 07-08, 09-15, and what I would say the end of the buyer market in 2016. What does that mean? It means buyers are no longer dictating prices. Sellers when priced right are getting what they want for their homes and homes on the whole are moving fast. Currently inventory is limited.
What does that mean for buyers? Be ready. Have your ducks in a row. Know what bank you plan to work with if you're using one. Know what their fees and terms will be. And most importantly, don't delay looking at a home you think you might want to see. I've told more people lately that "that home already has an offer on it."
So, here's to a busy 2017. Hopefully there will be a few more homes on the market for buyers to choose from and hopefully prices continue to rise getting sellers the equity they had prior to 2007! After all, it has been almost a decade since the crash.
